GB Foods was founded in 2002. The management have a belief that in order to build a successful Food Service business you must have the best people, the finest of foods, and a commitment to customers. Continuing these elements will ensure that customers are provided with the very best of service.

We have put together a team of local Geelong people who have invested in the company and have become working partners in the business. The vision and aim is for each partner to have a vested interest in the daily operations and be the face of GB Foods. Customers now have the opportunity to deal directly with a part owner of the business who genuinely cares about how the business is run.

THE GEELONG PARTNERS:

MARK JOHNSTON: Mark became a partner in 2003. He has a long history in the hotel industry, being at one stage the youngest licensee of a hotel in Australia. Mark and his family operated the very popular and successful Gold Diggers Hotel in Geelong for many years. He has since successfully managed a range of hospitality venues and from his personal experience he understands the requirements of a good food service provider.

CRAIG GRIFFITHS: Craig became a partner in 2005, and had for many years owned his own successful retail butcher shop in Belmont. He also worked in a senior role at Pilkington Glass Company. Craig has a long association with local sport and is a well known identity at the South Barwon Football Club, and brings a wealth of experience to his role in GB Foods.

WILL ROBERTSON: Will Robertson joined the family business in 2010 after gaining experience in a Global meat and produce trading company. He has worked in all aspects of the business and brings great youth and enthusiasm to GB Foods.

GARRY TRETHOWAN: Garry joined the family business in 2016 with a 40 year background in Transport Logistics. His expertise in logistics and customer service will ensure your delivery and service requirements will be met with his legendary prompt and caring service.

MATT TRETHOWAN: Matt joined the team as a partner in 2019 after working his way through all aspects of the business. He brings youth and an attitude to service that you will only find in a family business. Customer care and attention to detail are a hallmark of Matt's daily routine.

JAMES JOHNSTON: James joined the business in 2021 and his knowledge of local products and his enthusiasm to bring new and interesting products to our ever expanding customer base. This should enhance the experience for those that are looking for something different to offer their customers.
